YEI as subconsultant prepared mechanical and electrical utility design consisting of underground water, sewer, fire water and electrical distribution systems for Berths 57 and 58 (3000 LF). An extensive grounding network system was designed for the wharf and container yard area. YEI established gpm and psi design criteria for the water boxes. YEI developed the Berth Wharf electrical utility design criteria for the crane power trench and load requirements; crane and wharf substation; ship to shore domestic and/or fire protection system; ship to shore sanitary sewer system; 480V, three-phase and 120V, single-phase outdoor receptacles; grounding system for crane rails; spare ducts requirements for power and telecommunications; corrosion monitoring system for wharf and piles; point of connection for all of the wharf utilities with Container Yard, and the requirements for the Port's crane interchange systems. The design included 600 LF of crane bus conductor system. YEI prepared the final design specification and cost estimate.
