YEI was responsible for electrical design for a BART/Caltrain joint use terminal building and five tiered parking structure. Work scope included power, lighting, public address, computer network, automatic fare collection, communication and fire alarm systems. The control and communication systems include phones, LANS, PBX and emergency phone system along with emergency call boxes, lighting, power and wiring. YEI also serves as system integration engineer. For the train control and communication room, emergency power and UPS back-up power were provided to critical control and monitoring equipment. Since this project required modifying El Camino Real (State Highway), our engineers worked with Caltrans for acceptance of the street lighting design.
