Old, low efficiency steam heated stills were replaced with high efficiency vacuum type, electrically powered stills. The payout on the still project was 3.8 years. Existing standard efficiency motors were replaced with high efficiency motors with variable frequency drives on 70 fans and pumps throughout eight campus buildings. YEI provided calculations supporting the original assumptions that the projects were economically viable.
