YEI provided the design and construction support for this new substation to supply additional power to the facilities. The substation consists of a 115-12.47kV, 10/12.5 MVA stepdown transformer, a primary circuit switcher and secondary metal clad switchgear. Relay protection, the automatic transfer of load at 12.47kV from the existing source to the new source and modifications to the electrified fence were included in the workscope. YEI prepared construction drawings, specifications and cost estimate.
